Sniffer dogs help in nabbing murderer

Vadodara, May 26 (UNI) Sniffer dogs have helped police to trace out a murderer of a watchman, who was pounded to death with a boulder late last evening.

The accused Zakir Hussein Sheikh, was arrested today after the dog squad of the local police led them to his house here, police said.

Police have claimed that Sheikh has admitted to murdering Bhavesh Prabhakar Chowdhary (24), a watchman at Bima government hospital by hitting him with a boulder while he was sleeping last night.

He said he killed Chowdhary because he had foiled Sheikh's robbery attempt a few days back.

Sheikh has over 20 criminal cases registered against him, they added.
