Rains forecast in northeast, Kerala, Lakshadweep

Pune, May 26 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north interior Karnataka, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, south Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Telangana.

Hot day conditions prevailed at isolated places in Jharkhand. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Bihar and in some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala. They were above normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Konkan, Goa, Chattisgarh and Telangana.

Day temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir and were below normal in some parts of west Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Heavy rains have occured at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at many places in Assam, Meghalaya and Lakshadweep.
