Punjab crisis will be over soon: Sidhu

Hamirpur, May 26 (UNI) Fire brand BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu said that the ongoing Sikh-Sacha Sauda crisis in Punjab would be over within the next one week as Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal was striving to solve the tangle.

Campaigning for BJP candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal in the Hamirpur Lok Sabha bypoll, he said today that the current situation in the state was of a religious nature.

He claimed that Mr Badal had already held discussions with leaders of the Sikh community and even with other political parties.

He said that there was a need for peace and normalcy in Punjab.
