Hyderabad, May 26 (UNI) The prime accused in the recent murder of Ranga Reddy district Congress leader, Jagadeswara Reddy, today surrendered at a district court here.

Accompanied by his lawyer, Sridhar Reddy appeared before the third Metropolitan Magistrate. He was remanded to judicial custody till June 8.

Before being whisked away by the police, Sridhar Reddy claimed that he had not killed the Congress leader. He also demanded that the real culprit be caught and punished.

Jageswara Reddy, a supporter of IT, Youth Services and Sports Minister R Damodar Reddy, was stabbed to death by some two-wheeler borne persons in broad daylight on May 22.
