PM condemns Guwahati bomb blast

New Delhi, May 26 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today strongly condemned the Guwahati bomb blast that left at least seven people dead.

''Such violent acts only harm the lives of ordinary people,'' Dr Singh said in a statement here.

He sent his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the blast, triggered by ULFA militants in the busy Athgaon area this morning.

Police said a bomb was placed in an auto-rickshaw hired by militants.
