Photo ID cards for Hamirpur Lok Sabha by-elections

Shimla, May 26 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Manisha Nanda today directed all electors of Hamirpur Parliamentary constituency to produce elector photo identity cards at the time of voting in the June 2 bypoll.

She, however, said those who had not been issued the photo identity cards by election department would also be permitted to vote. They would have to show other alternative documents like passport, driving license, income tax identity (PAN) card, service identity card or freedom fighter identity cards, she added.

The result of the byelections will be declared on June 5.
