Photo ID cards for Hamirpur Lok Sabha by-election

Shimla, May 26 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Manisha Nanda today directed all electors of Hamirpur Parliamentary constituency to produce elector photo identity cards at the time of exercising franchise on June two in the bypoll.

She however said those who had not been issued the photo identity cards by election department would also be permitted to vote.They would have to show other alternative documents like passports, driving licenses, income tax identity (PAN) cards, service identity cards and freedom fighter identity cards, she said.

The result of the byelection will be declared on June five.
