One person shot at while trying to steal petrol

Bangalore, May 26 (UNI) One person was injured when a security guard of IndianOil shot at a five-member gang trying to steal petrol from the company's depot at Devagondi, near here, last night.

According to police, one person, Yallappa, was injured in the incident. He was caught while the others escaped under the cover of darkness.

The injured, who received pellet injuries on his right eye and chest, was rushed to the Government Hospital at nearby Hoskote town.

A special investigation team had been formed to nab the other gang members, police added.
