Mumbai, May 26 (UNI) Utility vehicles manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra will be included in the 30-stocks group of Sensex index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in place of Hero Honda, effective from July 9.
Announcing this today, the BSE said that its Index Committee, in its meeting held here yesterday, has decided to revise the composition of BSE indices including Sensex, BSE-100, BSE-200, BSE-500 and two sectoral indices.
Atleast nine new companies have been inducted in place of the nine outgoing stocks in BSE-100.
While the committee had replaced 27 companies in BSE-200 by including similar number of new firms.
The BSE made 34 changes in BSE-500 index by including 34 new scrips, a BSE release said.
