K'taka wins Tarun Kumar Mutha Memorial billiards

Bangalore, May 26 (UNI) Karnataka defeated Andhra Pradesh 3-0 to win the Tarun Kumar Mutha Memorial South Zone Inter-state Billiards championship played at KSBA hall here today.

In the best of five Final B Bhaskar beat I V Rajeev 520-154, while veteran star Arvind Savur narrowly upstaged Lucky Vatanani 290-238 to give Karnataka an decisive 2-0 lead. Later Bhaskar partnering with D Raj Kumar defeated Rajeev and S Shankar Rao 296-238 to complete the white wash.

Snooker team championship would be played tomorrow.
