Kerala to introduce bill for NRKs
Thiruvananthapuram, May 26 (UNI) In a bid to help returning Keralites from abroad, a Bill for Non Resident Keralites (NRKs) would be introduced in the next Assembly, which included pension schemes, Kerala Labour Minister P K Gurudasan said here today.
The Bill was being prepared and it would be introduced in the next Assembly, he said while participating in a meet-the-press programme, organised by the Press Club in connection with the completion of one-year of the Left Democratic Front Government.
Stating that the LDF government's policy was to have cordial relations between the employer and the employee, Mr Gurudasan said it was successful in this regard.
Regarding the closed tea estates in the state, he said most of them would be opened next month. The RBT group would be opening four estates by the end of May and the MMJ group would be opening two estates on June 11, he said.
Mr Gurudasan also said the government proposed to bring in a Trade Union Recognisation Bill in the next Assembly session.
