Kolkata, May 26 (UNI) The Akhil Bharatiyta Jana Sangh today opposed the entry of foreign MNCs in retail trade in the country.

Convenor of the Sangh's Kolkata chapter Shanti Lal Jain in a statement said, if the Government allowed the foreign Retail Chain Organisations to set up their establishment in India, unfavourable impact will be felt by the indigenous retail traders.

"These large retail chains employ one person to conduct the same amount of turn-over where the small trader employs more than 10-12 persons", Mr Jain pointed out while arguing his point against the foreign MNCs.

Mr Jain urged the Government not to create a situation, wherein the livelihood of the large number of retail traders operating in the country would be so adversely affected.
