Counselling for medical courses from July 2-8

Chennai, May 26 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Health Minister K K S S R Ramachandran today announced that counselling for admissions to medical courses will be held from July two to eight.

Speaking to reporters here, he said application forms for students seeking admissions to medical colleges would be issued from May 28 to June 15. The rank list would be published on June 22 and classes were expected to commence from August one, he added. He said a total of 1,645 medical seats were available in the State this year, which included seats under the all India quota.

The Minister also warned of action against private colleges if there were complaints of collecting donations or excess money over and above the fees prescribed by the Government.
