Congress thanks people for Shimla MC victory

Shimla, May 26 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) has thanked the residents of the capital hill resort for the victory of the part in the Municipal Corporation elections which concluded yesterday.

HPCC spokesperson Kuldip Rathore said her today that the residents of Shimla had voted in favour of the development policies of the Congress. He said that ths victory was a joint effort of Congress state president Viplov Thakur and Chief Minister Virbhdra Singh.

The Congress had bagged 15 of the 25 seats in the MC polls.
