BSP alleges discrimination against dalits
Patna, May 26 (UNI) The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today accused the Bihar government of discriminating against the dalit-populated villages while implementing rural electrification.
Senior BSP leader and party MLA Amrendar Kumar Pandey said he had written to State Energy Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav about the 'deliberate' exclusion of dalit villages in Gopalganj district from the list of beneficiaries under the rural electrification scheme.
He alleged that the procedure followed by the state government for selection of villages for electrification was erroneous and urged the government to give priority to dalit-populated villages.
