New Delhi, May 26 (UNI) BJP Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Morcha President Satyanarayan Jatia today appointed former Karnataka minister K B Shanappa, MP, Mr Fakir Bhair Badhola and Dr N Venkataswamy among five Vice Presidents of the organisation.

Mr Narayan Singh Kesari and Vijay Sonkar Shastri were the other two Vice Presidents while Mr Dushyant Gautam has been appointed General Secretary of the Morcha. The five Secretaries of the Morcha are Mrs Rekha Lambuture, Mr Krishna Chaudhary, Mr Rajesh Bagga and Mr Rajiv Kumar Das.

Former BJP President Bangaru Laxman, BJP General Secretary Thawar Chand Gehlot, former President of the Morcha Ramnath Kovind, former Rajasthan minister Kailash Meghwal and former Delhi Mayor Anita Arya have been made permanent invitees in the 38-member National Executive. The Executive has 44 special invitees.

Talking to newspersons Mr Jatia opposed the proposal to reserve 15 per cent seats for converted Muslim and Christian Dalits as it was meant to be provided to Hindu dalits who suffered the heinous practice of untouchability mainly in rural areas. The Muslims and Christians faced no such humiliations because they have no such practice. ''If you provide them reservation, this group will be eating into the reservation quota meant for dalits experiencing untouchability,'' he said.
