BIG 92.7 FM to be launched on May 28 in Goa

Panaji, May 26: Adlab Films Limited's radio initiative BIG 92.7 FM will be launched here on Monday.

Announcing the launch, the 18th station in the country, which was innaugurated by Station Director Manisha Tripathi said, BIG 92.7 has become the biggest radio network in the country. As many as 54 stations have been planned in the near future.

The radio is operational in six metros besides several mini-metros like Jammu, Srinagar, Aligarh, Jhansi, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Bareilly and Hisar, with an ambitious roadmap to attract 200 million listeners.

''With its hot adult contemporary music, BIG 92.7 FM channel endeavours to create highly aspirational and wholesome entertainment while several well-known personalities are taken aboard to create relevant and credible programmes,'' she said.

The content has been designed to cater to local tastes by drawing best talent of Goa, including well-known actor Prince Jacob, who is a part of theatre group 'Tiatre', talented comedian Eknath, Uday besides Priti and Aryan among others.

First in its series of interaction is with Remo Fernandes on Konkani music and his influence on Goan folk. Next in the series is the most popular band Forefront.

The FM channel has signed up with Abhishekh Bachchan as the brand ambassador, superstar Asin for the Telugu and Tamil markets and Upendra for Kannada have been roped in to ensure good bonding with listeners.
