Belgaum AP receives 6 cm rain

Bangalore, May 26 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Belgaum Airport 6, Chikmagalur, Bangalore City, Nelamanagala 4 each, Chamarajnagara, Gowribidanur 3 each, Karkala, Jamakhandi, Bhagamandala, Hallimysore, H.D.Kote, Bangalore Airport, Hoskote, Channapatna, Honnali 2 each, Kammardi, Srirangapatna, Anekal, Ramagiri, Chikkanahalli 1 each.

Maximum temperatures fell at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at many places over Coastal Karnataka; above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 41.1 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Belgaum, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Bagalkote districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night in some areas. Maximum temperature would be around 32 degree celsius.
