Alert passengers recover grenade from bus at Doda

Jammu, May 26 (UNI) The alertness of passengers helped avert a tragedy at Doda bus stand when they spotted a live grenade under a seat of local bus this evening, official sources said.

An alert passenger raised an alarm after he saw a suspicious article under a seat of the bus -- carrying 50 passengers -- when it was about to leave.

Police immediately rushed to the spot and recovered a live grenade, sources said, adding the security at Doda bus stand was beefed up after the incident.
