Yediyurappa's statement on Ullal dangerous: Moily
Mangalore, May 25: Senior Congress leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister M Veerappa Moily today cautioned against the statement of the Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa of adopting Ullal constituency if his party wins the June two by-election.
Talking to newsmen here he said that it would be a real threat to undivided Dakshina Kannada District as the adoption was meant not for development but with interior motive of making Ullal another Gujarat.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Moily said that by making the JD(S) to field its candidate in the Ullal by-election, the party made a scapegoat in the district and it would also be made scapegoat in the state in the coming election.
Mr Moily alleged that the coalition partner BJP trying to take maximum publicity from the achievements of previous government's schemes and it (BJP) even sidlined the Chief Minister restricting it to Village Stay.
