Virat to lead NZCA U-19 team in COL Adhikari Trophy

Chandigarh, May 25 (UNI) The North Zone Academy Selection Committee (NZCA) appointed Virat Kohli of Delhi Cricket Association as captain of the NZCA Under-19 team, which will participate in the Col Hemu Adhikari Trophy, starting on May 27 at National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.

Talwar Kohli of Punjab Cricket Association will be Virat's deputy.

This decision was taken in a meeting for the selection of ZCA U-19 team (North Zone) held at Dharmshala.

The meeting was attended by Sanjeev Sharma (Chairman, North Zone Selection Committee), R. S. Hans (Chief Coach), Raj Kumar Sharma, Bantu Singh (coaches) and convened by Deepak Sharma, Assistant Secretary, PCA.

According to M P Pandove, Joint Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, all five zonal teams along with one team from Combined Universities will be fighting it out for the top honours.

NZCA team: Virat Kohli (DDCA, Captain), Tarwar Kohli (PCA, Vice Captain), Nitin Saini ( Hayrana), Ravikant Saini (HPCA), Rushil Bhaskar (Haryana), Tejasav Yadav ( DDCA), Yogesh Nagar (DDCA), Manan Sharma ( DDCA), Gunjot Singh (PCA), Rahul Yadav (DDCA), Jaskaran Malhotra (HPCA), Pradeep Sangwan (DDCA), Aman Preet Singh (PCA), Mohit Sharma (Haryana), Ram Dayal (J&K).
