Two held with explosives

Coimbatore, May 25 (UNI) Two persons were arrested from Ramapattinam near Pollachi in this district today and 100 detonators and 50 electrical devices were seized from them.

Police said on a tip-off they had arrested Palanisamy and Chandrasekaran red handed while transporting the explosives to Ramapattinam.

Though the duo contended that they had purchased the explosives to bore a well at Ramapattinam and submitted the purchase bills, they were arrested for carrying the explosives without proper licence, police added.
