Traffic sub-inspector's jeep crushes one to death

Rajgarh, MP, May 25 (UNI) One person was today killed and three were injured, two of them seriously, when their cycles were hit by a jeep, which was being driven by a traffic sub-inspector, at Khilchipur in this district, police said.

Two seriously injured were admitted to district hospital, while one person was being given treatment at Khilchipur.

The deceased was identified as Rai Singh.

Accused traffic sub-inspector Chhawria Singh is absconding.

Incensed over the incident, people stoned and damaged the police vehicle. People demanded strict action against the accused besides adequate compensation to the affected.

A case of negligent driving was registered against the traffic sub-inspector.
