TA army exhibition begins tomorrow

Chandigarh, May 25 (UNI) The four-day long photo exhibition of the Territorial Army (TA), titled "Territorial Army Down the Ages" would be inaugurated by Punjab Defence Services Welfare Minister Capt Kanwaljit Singh at the Government Museum&Art Gallery here tomorrow.

Photographs from the archives of the TA showcasing its history and achievements over the years would be on display during the exhibition. The exhibition is an endeavour of the TA, in association with the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) to create awareness among the general public about the history and activities of the TA and also to motivate civilians to join the organisation.

It also aims at publicising the role and achievements of the TA and providing information about the eligibility criteria and the procedure of joining the TA as an officer, JCO (Junior Commissioned Officer) and an OR (Other Ranks).
