SJVNL to record Rs 665 crore profit during 2006-07, says CMD

Shimla, May 25 (UNI) The public sector Satlul Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) is likely to record Rs 655 crore net profit during 2006-07, its Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) H K Sharma today said.

With the company producing over 6,000 million units (MUs) of power, its net profit was likely to reach Rs 655 crore during 2006-07, he said in his message on the company's 20th raising day here yesterday.

Mr Sharma thanked Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh for agreeing to allot 775 MW Luhri Hydro Power Project to the company, besides emphasising the need on financial performance and technological innovation in silt management.

The successful execution of country's largest 1500 MW Nathpa Jakri Project has made the organization confident of taking up various hydel projects and consultancy services, he added.
