Rupee opens slightly weaker at 40.63/64 per USD
Mumbai, May 25: The Rupee today opened slightly weaker at 40.63/64 as against the previous close of 40.60/61 and remained steady in an otherwise quiet trading at the Interbank Foreign Exchange (Forex) market.
The local currency fell to the low of Rs 40.68 a dollar, immediately after its opening, but came back to its opening level within some time, dealers said.
The Rupee, which has been rising continously against the American Greenback for last several sessions had witnessed a very silent movement in the morning trade.
The forward premiums too witnessed a marginal movement, they said.
