Rs 9.36 lakh worth of IMFL seized in Kheda

Nadiad, May 25 (UNI) In one of the major liquor hauls in Kheda district, Nadiad LCB and Chaklasi police raided a farmhouse on Uttarsanda-Gutal road and seized 518 boxes of IMFL valued at Rs 9.36 lakh yesterday.

Sunil Patel and Mukesh Patel, the owners of the farmhouse, managed to escape in cover of darkness, police said.

The police raid came when the liquor boxes were being loaded onto a tractor of which 85 boxes were recovered while remaining 433 were found in the farmhouse. The tractor valued Rs 2 lakhs has also been seized.
