Reliance official rescued, 2 militants nabbed
Imphal, May 25 (UNI) An abducted official of the Reliance company has been rescued by the Assam Rifles troops, police today said.
The official, who had gone to Churachandpur district, about 70 km from here, to install a mobile tower was kidnapped by miscreants on May 23. The troops rescued him yesterday.
Police have recovered Rs 50,000 from one of the abductors. An investigation was on, police added.
In a separate incident, two cadres of the Peoples' Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) were apprehended by Bishnupur district commandos yesterday, police said today.
