Rainfall at many places in the State

Bangalore, May 25 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations record in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): K R Sagara 4, Srirampura, Koratagere 3 each, Raichur, Mandya, Bangalore City, Hessarghatta, Holalkere, Shivani, Sakleshpura 2 each, Kalasa, Panchanahalli, Arsikere, C R Patna, T Narsipura, Srirangapatna, Basaralu, Thondebhavi, H B Halli, Davanagere, Ramagiri, Hosadurga, Kibbanahalli 1 each.

Maximum temperatures fell at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at many places over Coastal Karnataka, appreciably above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 40.1 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Belgaum, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Bagalkote districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night in some areas. Maximum temperature would be around 32 degree celsius.
