Prohibitory orders extended in Kashmir's border area
Srinagar, May 25 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has extended for two months the imposition of prohibitory orders in the border district of Kupwara to check infiltration bids by militants from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
An official spokesman said the District Magistrate, Kupwara, has extended the imposition of section 144 for two months from May 22 in the frontier district.
However, the police and paramilitary forces and essential services have been exempted from this order, he added.
