Pensioners demand PTC on LTC pattern

Dharamshala, May 25 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Pensioners Welfare Association (HPPWA) today demanded Pensioner Travel Concession (PTC) to all pension holders on the pattern of Leave Travel Concession (LTC) granted to the state and central government employees during their service.

Kangra president PR Agnihotri and its spokesperson B L Sharma said the pensioners should be provided PTC on the pattern of LTC as being provided to the pensioners in Punjab.

The two leaders urged Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to accept their long pending demands to increase in their pension at the age of 65 and 75 years.

Lamenting at the almost negligible medical allowance to them, they urged the government to enhance their medical allowance on the pattern of Punjab.
