Overseas placement cell to be opened in Bihar: Modi

Patna, May 25 (UNI) Bihar government has decided to open an overseas placement cell here to facilitate foreign job aspirants.

Addressing media persons here today on his return from a 10-day trip to Australia and Singapore, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said vast employment opportunities in both the countries could be explored for the people of Bihar, if a system was evolved to provide guidance to overseas job aspirants.

''During my talks with authorities in both the countries, I could feel that there are good job opportunities for skilled people and the countries are ready to offer them now,'' he added.

The proposed overseas placement cell, to be opened in the labour department, would provide all kinds of informations as well as guidance to job aspirants to help them get suitable employment abroad, Mr Modi said.

Moreover, Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) would be signed between several universities in Bihar and those in foreign countries particularly those in Australia and Singapore, to promote exchange programmes in various fields of higher education.
