MULTA militants held
Kokrajhar, May 25 (UNI) Two Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Assam (MULTA) militants were arrested from Folimari village in Dhubri district of Asom last night.
Army sources said that the 11th Maratha Regiment raided the house of Ajmal Ali at 2300 hours and arrested him. Two revolvers and two pistols were recovered from his house.
Based on the information received from him, the Army team raided the house of Najidur Zaman of the same village and arrested Zaman.
One revolver and two 9 mm pistol bullets were dug out of Zaman's backyard, the sources added.
The MULTA rebels were suspected to have links with the ISI and other fundamentalist outfits.
