Mock exercise in disaster management in AP Dist

Rajahmundry, May 25 (UNI) A mock exercise of relief and rehabilitation measures to be taken whenever floods, cyclones and other natural calamities hit the district was conducted today in Badasakurru and Indupalli villages of Amalapuram mandal in East Godavari district by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

The rescue operations were taken up at Bodasakurru and relief operations in Indupalli. Medical services at the Primary Health Centre in Bandarulanka and a photo exhibition on losses incurred were also organised at Amalapuram.

Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasad Rao, Excise Minister Jakkampudi Rammohan Rao, Small Scale industries minister Gollapalli Surya Rao, Disaster Management Commissioner Preeti Sudhan and District Collector M Subramanyam were present during the mock exercise.
