Man held for involvement in Hyderabad Masjid blasts
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, May 25 (UNI) The special task force (STF) of Hyderabad police picked up a 41-year-old man from Jalna for his suspected involvement in the Mecca Masjid blast.
The police team had yesterday approached the local crime branch (LCB) of the Jalna police, seeking their help to arrest the suspect, Sohaib Faqruddin Jagirdar, a resident of Rehmanganj in Jalna.
However, the entries made by the Hyderabad police with the Sadarbazaar police station suggested that they were taking Jagirdar for interrogation in connection with a vehicle theft case.
Meanwhile, the Jalna police and the officials of Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) here were tight-lipped over the arrest.
Jagirdar was arrested two years ago by Jalna police for his alleged involvement in a vehicle theft. He used to work at his father's retail shop, before taking up odd jobs.
