Mah CM asks people to vote for stability, progress

Panaji, May 25 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today urged people of GoA to vote for Congress as it alone could ensure the country's ''stability and progress''.

While interacting with mediapersons here before launching the campaign for the June 2 elections to the Goa Legislative Assembly at Savantawadi and Pernem, Mr Deshmukh asked the electorate to vote for stability and progress which, he said, are vital for democracy.

Despite reverses in Punjab and UP, the party would emerge victorious in Goa to form the government, he added.
