Lightning kills two

Coimbatore, May 25 (UNI) Two people were killed on the spot and three others injured when lightning struck them at Nallampalayam village near Avinasi here this evening.

Police said all of them were on work when the lighting struck.

They were construction workers. The deceased were identified as P Sekhar from Kallatti of Nilgiris district and T Jayashankar from Salem, police added.

The injured were rushed to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital here.
