ITC net up 14.5% to Rs 650 cr

New Delhi, May 25 (UNI) ITC ltd has reported a 14.5 jump in its net profit to Rs 650.69 crore for the quarter ended March 2007 as against Rs 567.89 in the corresponding period last fiscal.

The total income soared nearly 25 pr cent to Rs 3,568.62 crore for the January-March quarter as compared to Rs 2,859.08 crore in the same period last year.

During 2006-07, company's net profit grew nearly 21 per cent to Rs 2,699.97 crore as against Rs 2,235.35 in 2005-06.

Total income rose over 26 per cent to Rs 12.705.79 crore as comapred to Rs 10,076.61 crore for 2005-06.
