Investors coming to MP: Chouhan
Shivpuri(MP), May 25 (UNI) Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today claimed the government had succeeded in attracting investors to Madhya Pradesh with an investment of Rs 44,000 crore so far.
Talking to reporters here during electioneering in the Shivpuri Assembly byelection, Mr Chouhan said an attempt was made to attract foreign investors also and they would be provided basic infrastructure like road, electricity and water.
The airports at Bhopal and Indore were being expanded to international standards, he said.
The farmers were being motivated to go in for cultivating fruits and vegetables instead of traditional agriculture and in order to explore marketing of agriculture produces a two-day agri-business meet was being held in the state capital from today, he said.
On the controversy over fielding former Congress worker Ganesh Gautam as BJP nominee in Shivpuri byelection, Mr Chouhan said any person enrolled into the BJP becomes its worker. ''Political parties should compete in serving the people'', he added.
