Intel joins hands with I2IT to set up on-site lab facility
New Delhi, May 25 (UNI) Intel Corporation has joined hands with International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT), Pune, to establish an on-site laboratory facility in the country.
Earlier this week, the 'Intel Multi-Core Lab' was inaugurated at the I2IT, by Mr Phil De La Zerda, Director of Intel's Developer Product Division, and Mr N Bhandari, its Director for Asia Pacific.
This initiative by Intel will enable interactions between top Intel technologists and faculty from I2IT, also providing the faculty with an opportunity to access the most advanced developments in its technology domains.
''Technology is forever on the move,'' said I2IT Managing Trustee Aruna Katara adding that ''the software industry incurs the full impact of this urgency.'' Which is why this four-year-old institution for advanced education and research seeks to make itself as industry-relevant as possible.
It offers MS and MBA programmes in a variety of IT and IT-related fields that are rigorously need-driven in terms of India's developing IT industry, and these programmes will be executed with international collaborations extending to renowned universities in the globe, she said.
International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT, pronounced ISquareIT), is situated amongst IT leaders such as Infosys, Wipro, Tata Technologies and Cognizant at the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjawadi, in Pune, India.
