Industrial commits suicide in Punjab

Ludhiana, May 25 (UNI) A local industrial and his wife allegdely tried to commit suicide by consuming poison at their residence here today, police said.

According to the police, the two consumed poison at their residence in the Fateh Singh Nagar locality here. They were rushed to hospital by neighbours, where Surjeet Singh (70) died while his wife Simranpal (40) was battling for life.

Simranpal was the industrialists second wife. Both were staying all alone in the house.

The police has registered a case and begun investigations.
