IFGL sets up subsidiary in China

Kolkata, May 25(UNI) IFGL Refractories Limited, a leading manufacturer of specialised refractories and operating systems for the steel industry, has set up a step down subsidiary--Tianjin Manocon Aluminous Refractories Co. Ltd.-- in Tianjin in China.

Starting commercial production recently, the subsidiary is primarily engaged in manufacturing refractory darts used for slag control.

A release issued by the company today said the subsidiary, largely export oriented, would help IFGL in acquiring a larger global profile.

IFGL acquired in 2006 the Goricon Group of Wales, manufacturers of darts, lances and ladle powers, used in the steel industry.
