Heavy rains forecast in northeast
Pune, May 25 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, and at a few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, south Konkan, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, north Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Tamil Nadu.
Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Bihar and at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, coastal Karnataka, and in remaining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. They were above normal in some parts of coastal Orissa, Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, north Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, Vidarbha, Kerala and in remaining parts of Bihar.
Day temperatures were appreciably below normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and in some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They were below normal in some parts of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country.
