Heat wave conditions prevail in the state

Kolkata, May 25 (UNI) Heat wave conditions continue to prevail in the state today as bright sunny sky kept the mercury level soaring.

The maximum temperature of the day was around 36.1 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 28.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal.

The maximum relative humidity was measured at 91 per cent and the minimum at 63 per cent.

No rainfall was recorded by the Met office.

The sky is expected to remain partly cloudy with possibility of thundery development towards midnight, a Met official said here.

Maximum temperature for the next 24 hours is expected to be around 36 degrees Celsius.
