''Guru Shishya Parampara'' needs to revive says Governor

Shimla, May 25 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Governor V S Kokje today stressed upon the need reviving ''Guru Shishya Parampara'' in modern era and said teachers who are working with mission and devotion must be rewarded.

Giving away the Rank and Bolt awards to the selected students and teachers of the state, he said obtaining good marks was not enough in academic life but overall development of students must be ensured by the teachers and parents.

Mr Kokje said public sector undertaking are coming forward to take up social responsibilities and appreciated Air India especially for honoring the teachers who were dedicated to their profession.
