Foreign reserves at USD 203.982 billion

Mumbai, May 25 (UNI) India's foreign reserves diminished further to USD 203.982 billion from a margin of USD 203.991 billion last week, said the central bank's weekly statistical report.

The foreign currency assets are at USD 196.485 billion, while total gold reserves remain unchanged at 7.036 billion.

Country's reserve position in the international monetary fund (IMF) also came down by one billion to 460 billion, said the report.

The aggregate deposits of scheduled commercial banks in India is at Rs 26,03994 crore.

The central bank said the foreign currency assets expressed in US dollar terms included the effect of appreciation or depreciation of other currencies held in its reserves such as Euro, Pound and Yen.

The foreign exchange reserves include India's reserve tranche position in the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
