Father-son hoodwink IT authorities

Nadiad, Gujarat, May 25 (UNI) An Income-Tax officer H M Rathod has filed a police case against a man and his son for cheating the tax authorities.

Prahlad Shah and his son Durgesh Shah owed IT dues to the tune of Rs 12.94 crore and Rs 22.19 lakhs respectively.

The IT authorities had then attached Prahlad Shah's three flats in Jainum Tower and a cold storage plant against the dues. However the father-son duo sold these properties without informing the IT authorities.
