K'taka: Farmer commits suicide in Chamarajnagar

Mysore, May 25: A farmer of Allur village in Chamarajnagar District of Karnataka committed suicide yesterday unable to repay his loan.

Police said that the farmer, A B Somanna, a worker of Janata Dal (S) and a clos associate of former MLA A R Krishnamurthy consumed pesticide and was admitted to a hospital in Chamarajnagar where he died.

Mr Somanna had left a six page letter to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who would be touring the district from May 27.

Mr Sommanna had taken a loan of over Rs.three lakhs from various financial institutions and was not able to repay.
