Call money opens high at 7.80-8.00 per cent

Mumbai, May 25 (UNI) Call rates opened at 7.80-8.00 per cent today, slightly higher than their previous closing level of 7.60-7.80 of Thursday.

In spite of huge inflows in the near term, bond auction for Rs 8,000 crore later in the day and expectation of further MSS bond auction announcement by the RBI kept the outlook uncertain, dealers said.

Money market rates are expected to hover around the current levels, they added.
