BHEL Q4 net up 32.53 per cent

New Delhi, May 25 (UNI) Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) today posted 32.53 per cent hike in its profit at Rs 1,150.37 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2007, as compared to Rs 867.95 crore over the same period last year.

The company's total income has increased by 25.7 per cent from Rs 5,732.21 crore for the quarter ended March 2006 to Rs 7,205.70 crore for the quarter ended March 2007.

It has posted a net profit of Rs 2,414.70 crore for the year ended March 2007, up by 43.8 per cent from Rs 1,679.16 crore for the year ended March 2006.

Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 13,759 crore for the year ended March 2006 to Rs 17,999 crore for the year ended March 2007, a statement said.

The Board of Directors has recommended final dividend at 60 per cent on the paid up share capital of the company post-bonus issue, for the year 2006-07.
